Time Matters has a concept of a "Power View". These Power Views are HTML/XHTML files which are able to display dynamic live content from the Time Matters practice management system. In their most basic form, they function is a quick report of a particular section of the record you are looking at. For example, a power view may show a list of the contacts on a matter, the list of billings on a file, or a collection of events & todo's along with their status.

With a bit of tweaking and a lot of planning, Power Views can be set up to an on the fly report of your data, providing a depth, navigability and distillation of data that is truly impressive. A bit more work and your Power Views will allow you to add any record type on the fly, automatically related to the record you are currently looking at - the cross referencing of contacts, matters, events, phone messages and emails is done for you.

Benefits of Power Views

Power Views allow you to summarize your data in any way you wish. If you have specific matters types that would benefit from having an eclectic set of data collated into a single place, then Power Views are a solution. Need a Power View for a matter that lists all contacts, phone messages, emails and todo's for all staff? Not a problem! How about a complete list of all todos and events for a given contact, including status & delegation information, along with highlighting those entries that remain un-actioned? Its fairly simple!
