In the the good ol' days, extensive customization of a Time Matters database involved having a consultant on-site for a week, a week of meetings, a week of changes, a week of "no billable time" and a week of consulting fees at $1500 to get the system roughly the way you want it.  Add together the $7500 in consulting fees and the $12,000 (40 hours at $300/hour) in lost earning to get $21,500 cost for a typical customization. And then there were still training costs; and none of that includes the cost of the software.

Enter the FEATURE PACKAGE

A Feature Package in Time Matters is exactly what it sounds like - a distinct and shippable package that will install to your Time Matters database, and add new custom features as designed by yourself or a consultant.  The "week" of customization can be done "off-site".  More significantly, the costs of extensive customization can be amortized over several clients who share similar needs and requirements; who practice in the same area of law.

We like to think our feature packages are DIFFERENT from those offered by other consultants.  We offer a complete suite of easilly customizable Power Views for all your record types. For the most part, we never change the DEFAULT form styles of any record type, and we use a prefix in all our classification codes so as to minimize the disruption of applying a feature package on top of an existing customized Time Matters database.
